Who can shoot at the range?
- Anyone 18 years of age or older may shoot at the range.
- Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian with them. A Guardian is a close relative, legal guardian or adult over 21 yrs of age who has a permission slip from the non-prohibited parents allowing the children to shoot at the range.
Who can rent firearms?
Must be 18 or older and one of the following:- Have your own firearm(s) with you
- Be in a party of two or more people
- Have a Permit to purchase
- Have a Permit to carry
- Have an out of state ID
- Have a military ID
Can I purchase ammunition?
- We can not dispense handgun ammunition to persons less than 21 years of age unless it’s for use on our range.
- We can always sell .22 cal long-rifle ammunition to persons 18 and older.
Who can shop at Bill’s?
- Anyone over the age of 18 years unless accompanied by an adult.
- Bill’s does not allow minors under the age of 18 years to handle any firearms without adult supervision.
Can I buy a firearm for someone else?
- No, only the actual buyer can purchase a firearm.
- You can purchase a Gift Card instead.
What do I need to buy a firearm?
- If you are a buying a non-military style long-gun (i.e. Shotgun), hunting, or target rifle, as a Minnesota resident you only need a state-issued ID.
- If you don’t have a state-issued ID, you may prove your residency by presenting the last 90 consecutive days in Minnesota with utility bills, lease agreements, etc.
- Non-residents may purchase non-military style long-guns as long as your state of origin does not prohibit them. You can “Cash & Carry” or we can arrange shipment to a dealer local to you.
- If you are buying a handgun or military-style rifle you must have a Minnesota Permit to Acquire, which can be obtained at no charge from your local police department. Non-residents may purchase handguns or military-style rifles only if they are shipped to a dealer in the purchaser’s state of origin and are in compliance with their local laws.
I am new to the sport, can someone help me at the range?
- The range officer has a limited capacity for assisting customers and can’t always focus on just one person.
- While we’re always available to answer questions, we would prefer to start you out with a professional entry level class.
- If you’re looking for training more personalized, request a one-on-one class to get you started safely.
Can I shoot my fully automatic or a .50 BMG at the range?
- Yes. You must provide valid paperwork and pay $40.00 for a lane.
- There is absolutely no steel core ammunition allowed. Your ammunition will be checked!
- We also provide fully automatic firearm training/rental with a few days notice. Request a full-auto shoot!
Does Bill’s have a membership?
- Yes! Bill’s Memberships.
- Check out our Annual Membership packages or buy range tokens! The range token offers big savings because you are buying in bulk, 10 pack for $150.00 ($15.00 per token a $ 5.00 per visit savings) or the 20 pack for $250.00 ($12.50 per token a $7.50 per visit savings). In addition these tokens have no expiration date and are fully transferable. Bring a friend and enjoy a day at the range.
Can I reserve the range?
Can I sell my firearm at Bill’s?
- Yes. We offer consignment services (where we are the agent to sell, store, and/or ship your firearm) and we may directly purchase the firearm from you.
- Bring the firearm to our knowledgeable retail staff to discuss the options.
Can I have my firearm repaired at Bill’s?
- We offer a drop-off gunsmithing service.
- Drop your firearm off anytime before Tuesday afternoon to have the best gunsmith around perform any kind of work on it by the next week.
- Come back any time after Wednesday afternoon to pickup your firearm. Minimum fee is around $60.00.
Does Bill’s do Dealer Transfers?
- Yes! Bill’s transfers firearms to/from individuals and other dealers.
- To get the process started, completely fill out our convenient Firearm Transfer Service Request Form. You may also use our printable Form. Fax, mail or drop it off at the appropriate Bill’s location.
