When John and Shelly Monson purchased Bill’s Gun Shop & Range in 2003, they had a clear vision in mind: Stores that are clean, bright, family-friendly and price conscious. And customers noticed.
We enjoy visiting customers, answering questions and understanding what they are looking for in a firearm and their training. Our style of consulting customers helps us serve people more effectively, so you find the firearm and training that is right for you. We have always believed in giving back to the communities in which we work. We believe in our communities and work to make them stronger. We do not do it because it is good for business. We do it because it is the right thing to do. After all, we live here, too.
The original Bill’s Gun Shop & Range location in Robbinsdale becomes the flagship store under John’s ownership.
Bill’s expands north, acquiring an existing indoor range.
Both Robbinsdale and Circle Pines locations earn the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s coveted 5-Star Range rating, which, at the time, was a distinction shared by only 21 facilities nationwide.
Bill’s Gun Shop and Range is named NSSF Range of the Year.
Bill’s opens its third location in Hudson, Wisconsin, bringing our signature experience across state lines.
The fourth Bill’s location opens in Fargo, North Dakota, further expanding our reach.
Bill’s Fargo and Hudson locations also earn the 5-Star Range rating, maintaining our elite status under the NSSF’s updated, more rigorous rating system.
